Based on a recent poll conducted by the AP, the vast majority of Americans are skeptical about the use of drones for most commercial and recreational purposes. Privacy and safety issues are among the chief concerns. This is not unreasonable, but the fact that only 23% are in favor of non-commercial, recreational use of drones should be of great concern to the hobbyist community. It is encouraging that 63% of the respondents approved of the use of drones for dangerous safety inspection operations.
