The World of GNSS in Athens, Ohio: May 2018

I am pleased to announce the third annual International Seminars on Positioning & Navigation Technologies (GNSS 2018) to be held from May 14 – 25 on the campus of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. The seminars are jointly sponsored by Ohio University, École nationale de l’aviation civile (ENAC) (French Civil Aviation University) and Beihang University.

This year’s program features lectures on GNSS fundamentals, GPS, Galileo, Beidou, treatment of vulnerability and integrity along with RTK, PPP and multi-constellation multi-frequency usage. Also offered this year will be hands-on labs on antenna design, software-defined GNSS receiver processing, drone operations and navigation system flight testing.

Michael Braasch is the Thomas Professor of Electrical Engineering at Ohio University (OU), a Principal Investigator with the Avionics Engineering Center (also at OU) and is the co-founder of GPSoft LLC (a software company specializing in navigation-related toolboxes for MATLAB). He has been conducting aircraft navigation research for 30 years and is an internationally recognized expert in GPS and inertial navigation.
